Hello and welcome Team FVT, how are you this afternoon?😄

Chad Roulette, [09.04.21 17:00]
Welcome FVT!

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 17:00]
@DrNickA Welcome sir!

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:02]
Hey guys!

Chad Roulette, [09.04.21 17:02]
Welcome @DrNickA

Chad Roulette, [09.04.21 17:02]
How are you doing today?

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:03]
I’m good thanks! It’s been a pretty intense day. We’ve just done a launch. Happy it went well! :)

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 17:03]
[In reply to Dr Nick]
Congrats on the succesful launch!🚀

Chad Roulette, [09.04.21 17:04]
Congratz with the Yield.vote launch’!

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:04]
Thanks very much :)

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 17:04]
Alright, before we start, we’d like to know who’s behind the Finance.Vote project, if you could, please introduce yourself? What is your background, previous experience and is this your first crypto project?

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:05]
Sure!

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:06]
So I’m a physicist by background which is what I did a PhD in about a decade ago and since then I’ve been working as an academic and governance researcher.

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:07]
Not my first crypto rodeo, I’ve been advising projects in token economics for quite some time. Most of them didn’t make it through the bear market.

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:07]
So I thought I would go ahead and so it myself. This is my dream crypto project I’ve always wanted to make.

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 17:07]
[In reply to Dr Nick]
That’s a surprising background, going from Quantum Tunneling to Crypto Unicorns 😜

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 17:08]
It’s a positive sign to see there’s an established background in crypto projects as well

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:09]
[In reply to Bill Grimes]
Funnily enough quantum tunnelling is what my PhD was on

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 17:10]
[In reply to Dr Nick]
Hahah very interesting topic, personally have a deep interest in that part of the physics as well

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 17:10]
Now, the FVT ecosystem is quite a grand one, consisting of three core pillars and a series of dApp tools. To anyone in the community who is unaware of FVT, how would you describe it, starting off with the three core pillars?

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:13]
It is a grand idea, I’ve been thinking it about for a long time. So we’ve split the cluster of apps across three pillars that we think fit all the governance needs of the space.

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:13]
The first is prediction market and discovery. The reason we built is for detecting or discovering of radically new assets.

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:14]
So if something has never has been on the market it has no price history. So how do you price it.

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:15]
Our tools in this Pilar are about building trustless price discovery mechanisms. One of which is a prediction market we call markets.vote where we pay people on a weekly basis to declare their bias preferences in the market.

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:16]
It has a lossless mechanic so you don’t lose money (other than gas you spend) you just get a go every week and you’re rewarded if you’re right.

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 17:16]
[In reply to Dr Nick]
Innovative concept, voting on what you think will happen!

Chad Roulette, [09.04.21 17:16]
[In reply to Dr Nick]
Awesome, Can everyone get paid for this, or do you have to be an expert?

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:17]
It’s all about positive reinforcement rather than negative reinforcement. We’re not trying to make money if you the users we’re just trying to find out what you think about the market.

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:17]
[In reply to Chad Roulette]
Anyone can play! You just need an identity token in order to take part which are issued from an auction system.

Chad Roulette, [09.04.21 17:17]
[In reply to Dr Nick]
Nice!

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:18]
Which is another component of this pillar. We have a kind of crypto Christie’s auction system which we’ll be finding the price of NFTs and new tokens very soon.

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:18]
We’ve also got predict.vote in this one where people will be able to predict on the price of bitcoin ATHs in a 3 month period. So we’re all about getting users for generate good signal on the market.

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:19]
The next bit is second layer governance.

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:19]
This is all the stuff that makes decision making better in the DeFi space.

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:20]
This is the stuff that I’ve been thinking about for years. How to organisations change when they’re online and they’re decentralised. You need to rebuild the way you work because you don’t have bosses and managers bossing people around. Just people participating if it makes sense for them to do so.

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:20]
And that means if it makes them money.

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:21]
So this system is all about building systems that let the token holders manage the token economy. There we have influence.vote, proposal.vote and decision.vote

Chad Roulette, [09.04.21 17:21]
[In reply to Dr Nick]
I really like this, I have one more question about this in a moment.

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:22]
And one you might like which is AMA.vote

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:22]
[In reply to Chad Roulette]
Sure!

Chad Roulette, [09.04.21 17:23]
[In reply to Dr Nick]
Yeah lol!

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 17:24]
[In reply to Dr Nick]
How would this system work if I might ask? Could we use that too ;)

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:25]
Sure!

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:25]
So our quadratic voting system sorts stuff

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:25]
In markets it sorts tokens, in AMA it sorts questions

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:26]
So people submit questions and then voters sort them buy which ones they want answered most

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 17:26]
Thats a very interesting tool, would be interested to use such😄

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:26]
Then we can have a prediction market on what people think is going to be best question

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:27]
[In reply to Bill Grimes]
You’re on!

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:28]
We’ll be looking for the best groups to try it out first ;)

Chad Roulette, [09.04.21 17:28]
[In reply to Bill Grimes]
That would be nice.

Chad Roulette, [09.04.21 17:28]
[In reply to Chad Roulette]
Coming back to this, How did FVT start? how was the idea born?

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:30]
[In reply to Chad Roulette]
Yeah nice question

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:31]
I was working as an associate dean in a large institution and found it super difficult to coordinate thousands of people

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:32]
So I created a governance system that was designed to capture the collective intelligence of a thousand PhDs

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:32]
The herding cats thing is very real in academia.

Chad Roulette, [09.04.21 17:34]
Thats really smart, I know the problem myself with a smaller group of people.

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:34]
At the same time the DAO was happening

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:35]
That got rekt because of a smart contract bug

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:35]
But I knew DAOs were gonna change the world at that point

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:36]
What you need is systems for capturing smart ideas

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:36]
And that’s our second layer governance system is for

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:38]
So all those tools are about capturing collective intelligence in distributed people all over the world

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:39]
[In reply to Dr Nick]
So this one captures the best questions, sorts them and rewards people for asking the best ones.

Chad Roulette, [09.04.21 17:39]
Great to hear how it started, This can become very big!

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 17:40]
[In reply to Dr Nick]
Quite the backstory, from problem to solution

Chad Roulette, [09.04.21 17:40]
Your Roadmap (votemap) looks interesting, I was very curious where you are currently, will you be able to explain more about your roadmap?

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:40]
[In reply to Chad Roulette]
Thanks!

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:40]
Yeah so I wanted a roadmap that was controlled by the users

Chad Roulette, [09.04.21 17:41]
The community can check it our here: https://www.finance.vote/

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:41]
So if we just let them decide everything you don’t have a roadmap at all

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:41]
So we build a roadmap that people can navigate around

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:41]
Like a skill tree in an RPG game

Chad Roulette, [09.04.21 17:42]
So you build the roadmap and people can connect the dots right?

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:43]
[In reply to Chad Roulette]
Yeah exactly

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:43]
So we say what apps are coming and you tell us what you want first

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:44]
Then you tell us how they run once they’re built

Chad Roulette, [09.04.21 17:45]
So your team actually consists of thousands of people! that is amazing.

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:45]
[In reply to Chad Roulette]
Exactly!

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:45]
The organisations of the future will be built from the ground up with thousands of people

Chad Roulette, [09.04.21 17:46]
At the moment there’s 4 dApps that are supporting the three core pillars we spoke of priorly, the first one, markets.vote is already live. Yet according to your website, yield.vote is going live today, could you give us an update on this? Is it indeed live and is there a preview to show us?

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:49]
So yeah you can go to both of dApps right now and check them out.

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:49]
So yield.vote started today.

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:50]
It’s all about staking

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:50]
We pay you to stake your assets and therefore take them out supply

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:50]
Which manages token velocity

Chad Roulette, [09.04.21 17:50]
Check!

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:51]
We filled a 10m FVT pool today in 155 seconds

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:51]
Now that’s full and those people in it aren’t likely to leave

Chad Roulette, [09.04.21 17:51]
That is really fast!

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:52]
Yeah it’s great, and one of the issues is that these things fill up quick

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 17:53]
It can be a bit too quick almost ;)

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 17:53]
I was wondering, Finance.vote is a project trying to revolutionise crypto in a significant way, what is your ultimate goal for FVT and how will FVT succeed in achieving this goal?

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:53]
[In reply to Dr Nick]
So our Harberger tax pools allow people to take slots from others if they value them more

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:54]
So that’s means you never necessarily miss out because you can just displace another person if you want it more

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:54]
[In reply to Bill Grimes]
To revolutionise crypto :D

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 17:54]
[In reply to Dr Nick]
Quite the system hahah, innovative ideas everywhere with FVT

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 17:55]
[In reply to Dr Nick]
Perfect haha, straightforward as it is!

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 17:55]
Which partnerships do you perceive will help you achieve this goal?

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:56]
[In reply to Bill Grimes]
That’s another good question

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 17:00]
Hello and welcome Team FVT, how are you this afternoon?😄

Chad Roulette, [09.04.21 17:00]
Welcome FVT!

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:54]
[In reply to Bill Grimes]
To revolutionise crypto :D

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 17:54]
[In reply to Dr Nick]
Quite the system hahah, innovative ideas everywhere with FVT

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 17:55]
[In reply to Dr Nick]
Perfect haha, straightforward as it is!

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 17:55]
Which partnerships do you perceive will help you achieve this goal?

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:56]
[In reply to Bill Grimes]
That’s another good question

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:57]
So I wanna get to know the projects personally before we make long term collaborative arrangements

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 17:58]
That is a totally understandable approach

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:58]
So I’ve been working with a number of projects that we can build a mutual alignment out of. Like an alliance.

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 17:58]
Are there any type of projects you think could fit very well? Insurance projects, launchpads, data marketplaces, AI systems perhaps?

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:59]
So we’re trying to find people that want to use our governance systems or price discovery systems so they don’t have build them

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 17:59]
So we’re building this dApps suite which is like the google apps ecosystem for DeFi

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 17:59]
Partnerships that want to partner with, I understandsuch as well!

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 18:00]
[In reply to Bill Grimes]
So actually yeah we’re gonna work with a few up and coming insurance systems

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 18:01]
There’s a good example there, we’ll announce a partnership with an insurance project coming out of stealth

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 18:01]
You’re making us curious!

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 18:01]
I’ll talk you through an example partnership

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 18:01]
So this project will vest their token in bank.vote

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 18:02]
Which shows the exact emission of the tokens over time for their full schedule

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 18:02]
[In reply to Dr Nick]
Please do!

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 18:03]
So you’ll be go to that app and see that they can’t dump their tokens on their users. You don’t have to trust. And you’ll have an accurate circulating supply to the token.

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 18:03]
They’ll use yield.vote to manage their liquidity reserves

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 18:04]
So they’ll have basic pool where stalkers get their token and some FVT so that’s multi asset staking

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 18:04]
[In reply to Dr Nick]
Quite the system, transparent and trustless

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 18:04]
Then they’ll use influence, proposal and decision as their governance suite

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 18:04]
So that’s how they their decisions

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 18:05]
Giving them a full stack off the shelf DAO

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 18:05]
The all-in-one system almost

Chad Roulette, [09.04.21 18:06]
Last question before we move on to the community questions. Which dApp is next, can you already say that?

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 18:07]
[In reply to Chad Roulette]
Yep! Influence.vote is coming at the end of the month.

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 18:08]
The puzzle pieces are slowly coming together, great to see!

Chad Roulette, [09.04.21 18:09]
Awesome!

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 18:09]
A lot to come for FVT👏

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 18:09]
[In reply to Dr Nick]
On that people will be able to vote for the token economics of the pools, what new markets we add, what new tokens are added to the tokens lists, and what’s the best meme :)

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 18:09]
[In reply to Bill Grimes]
Yes :)

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 18:10]
[In reply to Dr Nick]
Ahh meme contest, yes!

Chad Roulette, [09.04.21 18:10]
[In reply to Dr Nick]
MEMES!

Bill Grimes, [09.04.21 18:11]
Awesome, lets’ head over to the community session

Hello sir,,,
Can predictions in Finance VOTE only be based on cryptocurrency prices ??? And Are you planning to implement something similar to gaming betting and the possible outcomes of real life events ???
Then how can you and your team get the voting rights for Finance VOTE ??? Is it the only advantage of higher sound power or not ??

Sangga Patih | 404 Marketing, [09.04.21 18:12]
Q1. Ahhh so you pay people to declare their bias preference on market. My question is where did the fund come from? how many people can join this, and what are the terms to join?
Q2. At this point, do you think you need exchanges for $FVT as a binance to keep growing? Or is it better to forget those things and focus on other activities?

Che Tut, [09.04.21 18:12]
Hello, Dr Nick! FVT team plans a very big infrastructure. Lots of interesting projects within the ecosystem. Each area, I mean Governance, Prediction, Social Trading will be represented by their own sub-areas, which may also have sub-sections. Awesome! As I understand it we are talking about a modular system. You will have a Core layer and each Pillar will use it to implement its functionality. This approach has a lot of advantages. Could you tell us what the architecture of your project looks like technically? How is the interaction between Pillars organized? Who designed the architecture and reviewed it? Have you already deployed your system in a live environment? What bottlenecks were resolved during development? Your platform looks amazing. Thank you!

P.S Admit it, you guys want to build your decentralized state

Using the finance.vote quadratic voting based, rolling consensus system, users are incentivized to make market predictions in a series of tournaments focussed on baskets of assets from across the cryptospace. Can you tell us the advantages of incoporating your features in external dApps compared to projects similar to yours?

To make this a reality I’d imagine there to be a massive amount of dev work to be done. The roadmap to me is pretty much all of current DEFI idea’s/projects connected to each other in 1 ecosystem. This is very optimistic but I can’t imagine such a small team pulling that off. What are your thoughts on how large the size of the Finance.vote with the team has to be to make this become a reality. Also how are they paid for?

I read that Finance Vote currently held an event Tournament that possible to win prize 100.000 $FVT/$650 USD every week just “by voting in assets from the cryptospace”. But to voting, there is a requirement for user to mint identity, can you please share how to mint identity? Any guide about this?

In their roadmap, specifically in the second quarter of 2021, they say that the launch of the official FVT platform will take place. Hello @DrNickA Congratz with the Yield.vote launch’!

Q1. How does Finance vote support new investors who are market makers & build strong liquidity support in all markets? has Finance vote been bootstrapping liquidity with existing investors? What liquidity mining mechanisms will encourage market makers to join the platform and create the most competitive spreads?

Q2. Staking & Farming is very popular right now, so what about the Staking & Farming Finance vote ecosystem? Then what are the Staking & Farming Pool pairs available in the Finance vote? What makes the Staking & Farming Finance vote ecosystem more attractive to investors & connoisseurs of the Staking & Farming ecosystem like me?

We’ll go to any EVM compatible chain that the users want. We’re gonna chain next vote on influence and you can tell us where to go. That means there’s demand for that chain and that’s we’ll go.

How the being non-crypto natives to the platform. We want to create an information repository for everyone new to crypto so that’s education and also our curated tokens lists that are filtered by our users.

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 18:18]
[In reply to Kartika||Sweety MOD😊]
Yeah we want to get beyond crypto prices, which we’re starting to train on how to use quadratic voting. Very soon we’ll be predicting what decisions are going to be made in the system. Check out the futarchy idea that’s actually what predictions are for.

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 18:20]

What makes us different is that we give people some dials to tune rather than a completely blank slate. We’re all about governance optimisation https://t.co/FgIwCOqJf1

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 18:34]
[In reply to Che Tut]
Yeah nice question! So we’re building our a kind of decentralised governance system internally. We’re building a modular system so we can rapidly ship dApps. So we have a very “atomic” architecture which means once we’ve built our voting module it can abstract in multiple apps easily, in fact we’re gonna end up with a load of libraries that anyone in DeFi can use. We’re into this radical openness idea. So with this we have 3 Dev teams working on 5 dApps in a parallel system. Eventually we want to have a dozen Dev teams funded from the treasury and then we want hundreds! We’re working in mainly reactJS for front end and then building a strong data layer that will feed our dashboard system.

Dr Nick, [09.04.21 18:34]
[In reply to Bill Grimes]
Ok cool let me pick one
